The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. The American Red Cross, through its strong network of volunteers, donors and partners is always there in times of need.

Partnership Highlights

In 2017, Spectrum Housing Assist and the American Red Cross are partnering to improve 400 homes in eight cities nationwide via the Red Cross Home Fire Campaign.

About This Partner

Life Line Chaplaincy is a nonprofit organization in Fairfield County, Connecticut helping first responders cope with the crises they face. Founded by Rev. John Revell, a chaplain for the Stamford, Connecticut Police Department, Life Line Chaplaincy has developed the Building Community initiative to strengthen relationships between neighborhoods and law enforcement officers through local home repair projects.

Partnership Highlights

Since 2015, Spectrum and Life Line Chaplaincy have partnered to improve homes in Stamford, Connecticut. In 2017 the partnership has grown into a nationwide pilot, working with four police departments across the country.

About This Partner

Christmas in Action is a nonprofit organization that works to preserve and revitalize houses and communities – assuring that low-income elderly and disabled homeowners live with independence in safe homes. Since 1972, Christmas in Action has improved more than 10,000 homes nationwide.

Partnership Highlights

Spectrum Housing Assist has partnered with Christmas in Action to improve homes in the Southeast region of the United States. In 2017, we are working with the Christmas in Action Spartanburg affiliate to improve the lives of homeowners in South Carolina.

HomeFront is a community-based, volunteer-driven home repair organization providing repairs at no cost to low-income homeowners, enabling them to remain in their home with improved quality of life. Since 1988, HomeFront has improved 3,000 homes in Connecticut and New York.

Partnership Highlights

In 2016, Spectrum Housing Assist and HomeFront partnered to improve homes in Stamford, Trumbull, New Fairfield, Monroe and Southbury, Connecticut. We are partnering again in 2017 to improve homes in the Spectrum service territory and office locations.

About This Partner

Project Home provides weatherization and home repairs to income-eligible residences in Dane and Green County, Wisconsin. Each year, Project Home assists approximately 600 households with a variety of home improvement and home maintenance classes for homeowners.

Partnership Highlights

Spectrum Housing Assist has partnered with Project Home through its Hammer with a Heart program, providing home repairs and maintenance to homeowners in Dane County. In 2017, we are partnering again with Project Home to improve homes in Madison, Wisconsin.
